I'm a plant-eating, world-travelin’ San Diego mama-preneur with a very spirited 3-year-old. As a positive psychology practitioner and yoga instructor, I am trained (and certified) to teach and support individuals to achieve a life with greater well-being. I advocate for an integrative approach to happiness and wellness by focusing on various pathways in life. This means we can look at positive emotions, experiences of engagement, relationships, sense of meaning, accomplishments, and vitality. I am also a very big believer in community and connection, and know that as social creatures, we’re wired to belong.

Let’s connect! How can I support you?

What is Positive Psychology?

And what it is not.

As the founding father, Dr. Martin Seligman describes it: “Positive psychology is the scientific study of optimal human functioning. It aims to discover and promote the factors that allow individuals and communities to thrive.”

Positive psychology is not about just being positive and feeling good because that’s not realistic. We’re human and we’re going to experience pain and go through hard times, but we can suffer well and we can build skills to get through the harder times more easily.

Through my own experiences in motherhood, I realized how it felt to feel alone, even if I was surrounded by people I knew. There is something different, something special about connecting with a like-minded person who understands your struggle and we know that in #momlife, there are constant struggles. We need connection and support, and loneliness is not an option.

Events and retreats will connect you, offer support and show you that you are not alone.

Through studying Positive Psychology, I learned such fascinating things about our brain, like how it’s wired to focus on the negative but how it can also be rewired through experience and practice.

While motherhood has its constant struggle, we don’t have to get stuck in the negative cycle. We don’t have to focus on the negatives at all. Instead, we can increase our positive emotions, find more meaning, do more of what works, focus on strengths, and build resilience.

And I use the science of happiness to support these shifts and that re-wiring on a deeper level.

Why Feel Good MamaHood?

Because we deserve to feel good.

What Mamas are Saying

“I gained 2 big takeaways. #1 there are like minded and open hearted mamas near me who have similar struggles that can help me…. ”

— Mariya S.

“I can definitely say that this activity did directly contribute to feelings of gratitude and a more positive outlook on my day-to-day relationships.”

— Daphne R.

"I have done a gratitude practice each evening for the past few years, but making a shift to “noticing" my contribution to the events and connections I appreciate each day has been a game changer. I am actively creating a life I love, it’s not just happening to me. Thank you, Jenna!”

— Kristine P.

More fun facts about me.

I’ve lived in 4 countries, with my passion for travel starting when I studied abroad in Spain.

This caused a complete shift in my career focus, and after graduating with a bachelor’s in Psychology, I put post-graduate education on hold and moved to Australia.

There I met my now husband, Paulo, extended my visa and eventually moved to his home town in Brazil. First came love, then came marriage, and then came… our son!

In between that, we moved back to the States, and I launched my first online business in 2014, teaching English as a second language. This gave me the flexibility to work on my schedule to support the family we knew we wanted and I’ve been a work-at-home mama since.

It was the start of my own journey in motherhood that brought me to the realization in my heart that I was called to do what I knew I had always wanted, working within the field of psychology and supporting the wellbeing of others.
